International

In the international context, the employees of the Institute for Business Education are dedicated to researching and shaping educational processes, structures, and systems. Their studies include analyses of educational goals, reforms, curricula, teaching and learning methods, and funding systems always examining the interaction between education and work as the core interface of vocational education.

Within international research and development projects, the focus lies primarily on the following topics:

  • Cross-border virtual, hybrid, and in-person mobility for educational purposes
  • Recognition, accreditation, and permeability of vocational qualifications
  • Educational and labor mobility through cross-border and international educational programs using European credit transfer instruments

The findings are used to innovate, connect, and increase the permeability of education systems at both national and international levels. By involving small student groups in selected aspects of European research and development projects, interim and final project results are successfully transferred into academic teaching.

The establishment of international networks and partnerships plays a crucial role in ensuring the long-term sustainability of the outcomes achieved through Erasmus+, ESF, and Interreg projects at the institute. Such collaborations enable the exchange of best practices, experiences, and expertise among educational institutions, researchers, and practitioners across Europe. Through joint use of third-party funding, sustainable programs for vocational education and continuing training can be developed, implemented, and evaluated tailored to the evolving demands of the modern world of work.
