In their research, the employees of the WIP are dedicated to developing and reflecting on research findings that provide a foundation for decision-making in teaching and learning within the fields of economics and administration.

We share a strong interest in exploring and developing innovative teaching and learning arrangements, as well as critically engaging with socio-economic education. In addition, we focus on supporting teaching and learning processes through mentoring and e-portfolio work.

Our research and development activities are characterized by numerous collaborations and are presented, discussed, and published both nationally and internationally. We also use our findings to acquire third-party funding and to effectively reach the scientific community, practitioners, and policymakers.

At the Chair of Business and Entrepreneurship Education, our focus lies on regional and international institutional and system development. We build networks and partnerships, investigate innovations, and actively shape vocational education and training as well as continuing professional development.

The Chair of Business Education with a focus on digital teaching and learning in vocational education conducts intensive research on innovative teaching and learning arrangements in teacher education. We particularly emphasize modern teaching and learning methods and e-portfolio systems.

Our research and development projects are based on empirical social research and employ a design-based research approach. We draw on both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis methods and develop new methodological approaches.

We warmly invite you to join us in exploring the exciting world of research in business education!
