The profound changes brought about by demographic and ecological transformation, as well as ongoing digitalization, have a direct impact on companies and their employees. Successfully managing these transformation processes contributes to strengthening the entire region. Shaping these processes is the main focus of the projects implemented by the Institute for Business Education in collaboration with its practical partners.

A prime example is the joint project “Regional Future Center MV+”, which offers a wide range of services for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The activities of the Future Center include business consulting, employee training and qualification, as well as networking with strong partner institutions from education, research, and public administration.

The Future Center MV+ not only promotes the transformation of companies and their employees but also actively engages in the participatory design of processes that introduce and apply digital technologies and AI-based systems. Central to this approach is the active involvement of employees, ensuring that these changes meet the needs and requirements of the regional workforce.
